Our Next Residency: House of Games
April 5 - May 3, Fool's Valley, Portugal
Hi all lovely people, greetings from Puerto Rico!
We’ve been working remotely for the past few weeks, zooming in and out from long term problems that Agartha wants to address such as the ‘metacrisis’, to mid term proposals such as the SolarpunkOS, to short term initiatives such as our next residency House of Games. Working on many multi-faceted items, and feeling really excited about this year!

From April 5 – May 3, we’re turning Fool’s Valley in Portugal into a creative lab for social games, mini-apps, and reimagined ways of living. It’s for artists, game developers, builders, and curious souls that want to gamify lives alongside other likeminded peers.
This is your chance to connect and thrive alongside a curated group of compassionate, high-agency creators. All while living in community, surrounded by nature, eating delicious family-style meals, meditating in morning serenity, and dancing the night away.

Why This Timing?
We chose this 4 week timeline in between two big conferences: ETHCC (March 30 - April 2) and Farcon Rome (May 4-5), with the intention of creating a unique connecting experience for builders of these two ecosystems, but not exclusive to these ecosystems.

Weekend adventures, dance parties, and consciousness explorations
Fool’s Valley is a research lab, residency space, and occasional venue for events and retreats, designed to:
explore how diverse practices — ranging from movement to dialogue, the introspective to the interactive, the improvisational to the reflective — support cognitive, emotional, and spiritual development.

Discussion groups on the general thesis of ‘gamifying life’
Selected workshops on product design, building mini-apps, and launch strategy
AI Design Labs — exploring cutting-edge AI tools in design and engineering
Feedback sessions, 1:1 mentorship, and peer support
Field trips to other Solarpunk Villages - Traditional Dream Factory and Project Kamp
Dance parties, contact improv, ecstatic dance
Group dinners by a local caterer
Self-Organized group wellness session
All workshops are optional, you can always choose to opt-out
Car rental would be extra, although the average price per car for the month in Lisbon goes as low as 200 Euros / month

Pricing
Patron (ranging €3000 - €10,000): Become an honorable patron to help us keep our residencies going and provide for select scholarships*. Plus some extra surprises!
Standard (€700 - €1600): Includes housing, and programming for the month. P.S. price varies depending on housing type of single or shared room.
